Job Summary
The Facilities Technician supports Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) operations for clinical and pre-clinical drug manufacturing by ensuring equipment and facilities are operational, safe, reliable, and compliant.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs of manufacturing equipment, systems and instruments
- Assist with installation and modification of GMP equipment systems
- Provide facility maintenance including but not limited to: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, mechanical and construction.
- Provide support to maintenance and calibration contractors
- Maintain and develop effective preventative maintenance programs
- Document repairs, adjustments and replacement of equipment per SOPs and GMP requirements
- Manage the organization and inventory of spare parts
- Complete other duties as assigned by management
Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree and/or technical degree/certification in relevant field or high school diploma (or equivalent) with minimum two years’ experience
- Previous experience performing troubleshooting, repair of equipment
- Previous experience performing corrective and or preventative maintenance
- Previous experience in HVAC, electrical, refrigeration and mechanical systems preferred
Technical Requirements
Ability to read and understand equipment and system drawings
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate across all disciplines both written and verbal
Strong attention to detail and diligent follow through
Ability to exercise independent judgement consistent with company guidelines
Capable of working in a cleanroom environment
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, and move about the facility for extended periods of time
Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a semi frequent basis
Able to maintain good personal hygiene

Compensation
$23.00 – $27.00 per hour
