Quality Control Specialist

Job Title: Quality Control Specialist

Location: Tacoma, WA

Job Summary
Responsibilities include but are not limited to, Environmental Monitoring, Cleanroom Personnel Monitoring, Drug Substance and Drug Product release testing, Inspection, Validation, and Maintenance of the Quality Control Laboratory (Cleaning, Supplies etc.)
Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental monitoring of cleanroom areas including surfaces, air, water and personnel
  • Chemical, biological, and microbiological release testing for Drug Product and Drug Substance
  • Compilation of batch record and lot release data
  • Protocol and report generation for stability studies, equipment validations/qualifications, and analytical method validations, which support QC activities
  • Ordering / stocking of QC supplies
  • Compilation of Quality Control data for trending and evaluation
  • Inspection of In-process and Finished goods
  • Maintenance and update of Quality Control programs (e.g., Inspection, Environmental Monitoring, etc.)
  • Revision and creation of GMP documents as needed
  • Adherence and participation in Quality Systems (e.g., CAPA, Laboratory Investigations, Root Cause Analysis, etc.)
  • Training of staff as required
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in a Natural Science (Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry etc.) or similar applicable field with 2-4 years prior laboratory experience or a combination of education and work experience may be applied
  • Extended amounts of time gowned to ISO 7 or higher PPE Requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs on a regular basis
  • Familiarity with Electronic Documentation Systems (ERPs, ELN or similar)
  • Previous GxP experience preferred
  • Previous validation experience with scientific equipment and analytical tests preferred
  • Must be able to have vision corrected to 20/20 vision
