Revalesio Scientists Develop Method for Detection and Characterization of Nanoparticles

A group of researchers including Revalesio scientists published a novel technique that allows the detection and characterization of nanoparticles in solution with previously unachieved precision. The paper appeared in the journal ACS Nano. The new method involves controlling the repetitive passage of single nanoparticles through a nanopore sensor. The repeated measurements facilitated by this technique greatly reduce the uncertainty typically faced when this method is used, allowing the differentiation of gold nanoparticles used in the study that differed by a radius of only ~1 nm.
